1. Scope

This policy covers the Tren iOS app and the website at trensg.com. It does not cover the independent coaches you connect with through Tren, who decide for themselves how they use any information you give them directly. It also does not cover third-party services that operate under their own policies (see section 4).

2. What we collect and why

We collect only what we need to run the service, and we use it only for the purposes described below.

Account and profile

Health and fitness information

This information is used to deliver core features — building and following training programs, tracking progress, and letting a coach you connect with tailor your plan. Some of it is sensitive; you decide what to enter, and you can edit or remove it.

Location

Messages

Face data (coaches, optional)

Subscriptions and purchases

Device and technical data

3. Data shared with your coach

Tren is a tool that connects clients with independent coaches. If you are a client and you connect with a coach, that coach can see the information relevant to coaching you — your profile, age, gender, goals, injuries, training experience, height and weight, activity level, location (city/country), your workout logs, your check-in answers and photos, and your messages with them. If you are a coach, your connected clients can see your profile information. Ending a connection stops future sharing; ask your coach directly about anything they may have saved outside Tren.

4. Service providers and other sharing

We share personal data with third-party service providers only as far as needed to run Tren, and only on our instructions. They are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes. They fall into these categories:

We may also disclose personal data if required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, safety or property of our users or the public. We do not sell your personal data. If the app is ever transferred to a new operator, your data may transfer with it, subject to this policy.

5. Face verification

Coach verification is optional. If you start it, our face-verification provider runs a liveness check (confirming a real person is present) and compares the captured image to your profile photo to confirm they are the same person. We ask for your explicit consent in the app before this runs.

A "Verified" badge confirms an identity and likeness check only. It is not a check of a coach's qualifications, certifications or trustworthiness.

6. International transfers

Some of our service providers operate outside Singapore, including in the Asia-Pacific region and the United States, so your data may be stored or processed there. Where data is transferred outside Singapore, we take reasonable steps to ensure it remains protected by appropriate safeguards, including the contractual terms our providers offer.

7. Retention and deletion

We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account from within the app (Profile › Delete Account).

Apple retains its own record of purchases and subscriptions independently of us; manage those in your App Store account.

8. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to:

Most of this you can do yourself in the app. For anything else, email support@trensg.com and we aim to respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local data protection law, which we will honour.

9. Security

Data is encrypted in transit. Access to production systems is limited and authenticated. Files such as progress photos are stored with access controls so they are not publicly listable. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will notify you and the relevant authority of a serious breach as required by law.

10. Children

Tren is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. If we make a material change we will notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect. The "Last updated" date above always reflects the current version.

12. Contact

Questions, requests or complaints: support@trensg.com. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may have the right to complain to the data protection authority where you live.
